About Us

"The SketchClub is an artists group for cartoonists, illustrators and comic book artists that meets every Saturday night from 7-10 pm at Freebirds World Burrito (4930 South Loop 289, Suite 250) to draw and hang out.

The club is free to join, and artists of all skill levels are welcome. Its the perfect opportunity to draw inspiration from a wide variety of talent in one group.

The Sketch Club mission is to enable artists to reach their fullest potential artistically and spiritually, to use their lives and talents to make the world a better place, and inspire others to do the same."

Suzan G. Komen fundraiser Friday Oct 2nd

The SketchClub is doing a special event in October as a fundraiser for the Susan G. Komen cancer foundation.  This is a first friday art trail event at the McPhereson Cellars winery located on Texas Avenue between 16th and 17th streets in the Depot Entertainment District.  The event will be Friday October 2nd from 6 – 9 pm.  We’re calling it “Face that Care” , and we’re doing drawings of people for donations to the Komen foundation.  This is a great opportunity to get practice with drawing faces – and its for a good cause!
