About Us

"The SketchClub is an artists group for cartoonists, illustrators and comic book artists that meets every Saturday night from 7-10 pm at Freebirds World Burrito (4930 South Loop 289, Suite 250) to draw and hang out.

The club is free to join, and artists of all skill levels are welcome. Its the perfect opportunity to draw inspiration from a wide variety of talent in one group.

The Sketch Club mission is to enable artists to reach their fullest potential artistically and spiritually, to use their lives and talents to make the world a better place, and inspire others to do the same."

Pinktober Fundraiser!

The Lubbock SketchClub is participating in a fund raising event this friday on the First Friday art trail.  We’ll be doing sketches on pink paper for donations to the Suzan G. Komen foundation for breast cancer awareness month.

The SketchClub will be at the Tornado Gallery – 19th and Buddy Holly Ave – from 6-9pm this Friday!   Get a free sketch from our sketch club artists for a $ donation of your choice and all Proceeds will go to the Suzan G. Komen foundation.  Hope to see ya’ll there!

Hey, man, great meeting you at B&N signing. Really, I learned so much from our talk on the craft. And this event, Pinktober, is such an awesome event. You guys are so on the fore in every which way. The 24 hours thing is also very hip.
